Tanzanian coffee is well known for its bright acidity, medium body, and lively flavor profile that often includes notes of citrus, stone fruit, and wine-like sweetness. Grown in Tanzania, it is mainly Arabica, cultivated in rich volcanic soils and high-altitude regions that contribute to its distinctive taste.

Many of the country’s best beans come from areas around Mount Kilimanjaro, Mount Meru, and the southern highlands near Mbeya. Some Tanzanian coffees are also processed using the traditional “peaberry” method, which enhances their sweetness and complexity, making them highly valued in the specialty coffee market.
